Self Esteem & Self Development
Do you have a loud inner voice constantly pointing out your mistakes to yourself? Tearing you down no matter what you do? Maybe this voice calls you names, tells you you're stupid or constantly questions you, asking why would you do that? Why would you say that? Why can't you be better? Often referred to as your inner critic, this voice can stop you from taking chances, believing in yourself, and has you only thinking of your {perceived} short comings. Together we can help you learn new ways of relating to yourself, to improve your self esteem, and help you live more authentically and true to yourself.
Trauma and PTSD Recovery
Do you find no matter how hard you try to push away the darkness from your past it eventually resurfaces and derails you? Maybe you find it hard to feel safe or trust other people. Do you wish to no longer live life out of fear? It takes courage to reach out for help and it is the first step in working through your past experiences. Trauma doesn't have to define you; you don't have to keep running away from it or denying it is there. Together we can process the difficult moments you have had to go through, and work to free yourself from this weight to allow you to live life on your own terms.
Anxiety and Depression
Do you constantly feel on edge? Always nervous or unsettled? It is normal to feel anxious occasionally, but what do you do if your body is experiencing signs of danger even when you know there is no threat? Constantly feeling worry and fear throughout your day can be crippling and frustrating. Together we can help you learn ways to better manage anxiety so you can get back to living a fulfilled and meaningful life for you!

Chronic Pain
How It Works
01.
It can be extremely nerve wracking to book in for your first counselling session. It’s important for you to know that I always meet my clients where they are at!
The initial session is a chance for each of us to get to know one another better and see if we will be a good fit to work together.
02.
During our first meeting we will discuss what’s been happening in your life lately and what has prompted you to begin therapy at this time. Together we will explore many aspects of your life, including your family of origin, your childhood, and any significant life events that have occurred. This helps me to get to know YOU and understand your experience!
03.
From here we begin to dive deeper into the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that you are struggling with. Together we work to identify the patterns that are holding you back in your life and begin working to understand the motivations for engaging in these patterns and the underlying fears that may be perpetuating them. Once you have awareness of what your patterns are, when they are triggered, and how they hinder you, we work to find ways for you to begin taking steps to change them.
Our specific approach varies depending on each client’s unique needs and difficulties. We are primarily rooted in attachment theory and mainly draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.
